Reactions to Launch My Line Finale part 1

Kathy Rose, Merle Ginsberg and Eric Cubeechee are the final three remaining designers and for their final challenge, they are tasked with making three outfits. The first must incorporate non-traditional pockets, the second to incorporate ruffles, and the third is to be an evening gown. At the end, they need to have 10 finished pieces for the final runway show.

So what did you think? Did you like that eliminated designers came back as helpers? Will everyone finish in time? Whose line do you like best so far?

Launch My Line *FINALE PART 1* Wednesday 1/27 @ 10/9c – As the competition comes to an end, the designers realize putting a fashion line together is not as “glamorous” as it seems. Reactions to Launch My Line Episode 7

This week, the remaining designers were asked to create a three-piece outfit that would allow their target client to change her look for different events. But more importantly - designer Kara Saun of Project Runway season 1 made a guest appearance!

Kathy wins this challenge, and Louanna's line gets dropped. Was this a surprise? Louanna and Merle have been pretty strong all season but both were in the bottom. Of course, when there are only four designers left, the competition does get tougher!

What did you think about this episode?

Blogging Bravo Interview with Patrick McDonald

Reactions to Launch My Line

This week, their inspiration was - each other? And the element they all had to use was stressed fabric. Seems like the designers were the stressed element.

Merle, who picked Louanna as her inspiration, was the winner.

Patrick's look (inspired by Eric) was "destroyed rather than destressed" and though his line was otherwise cohesive, it was time to realize he wasn't going anywhere but O.U.T.

So what did you think about this episode? Did you agree with the judgements? Please leave your reactions in the comments.

Tonight, on Launch My Line

On tonight's episode, the designers take a trip to a denim warehouse to learn fabric-distressing techniques. The teams are asked to make their own denim-centric garment to add to their line, but when the designers are asked to use their fellow competitors as inspiration, the truth comes out about how they feel about each other! With only five teams left, which teams will find the perfect fit, and which will be left in “distress?”

Tune in tonight@ 10/9c!

Exit Interviews - Marilyn and Coco

Reactions to Episode 5 of Launch My Line

The fabulous Lady Gaga was on Launch My Line last night - but only for about 3.5 minutes! A bit of a letdown, no?

So what exactly were the designers supposed to create again? Something avant garde? A stand out piece? Don't really know if anyone really followed that rule, but the Catens (Squeak and Squawk) didn't make an issue of it during the judging. DJ Eric wins, with his spangly "disco ball" mini. He owes part of his success to Miss Amanda Fields who really worked that dress!

The least favorites were Marilyn's white gown and Patrick's "shaded" purple mess. Once again I thought it was curtains for our dandy Dandy, and once again I was surprised to see someone else get the boot. Sorry Marilyn, they've cut your line.

So what did you all think about it?

Still Going Gaga

I know it's still 2 days away, but we're excited about Lady Gaga on this week's episode of Launch My Line!

Pop star phenomenon *Lady Gaga* - known for her fashion-forward outfits - surprises the designers and provides inspiration for the next piece in their line. In this week's challenge, the teams look to Lady Gaga as a muse for an avant-garde outfit, but they must make sure they are pushing the boundaries of fashion without crossing the line of good taste. Meanwhile, there’s tension between teammates and someone pushes their teammate to the edge. Will the pressure get to them before completing their look?

Tune in Wednesday 1/6 @ 10/9c.
